Constant Air Volume Terminal Unit

Constant volume terminals unit are with mechanical self-regulating control damper, designed to keep a constant air flow, independent of the inlet static pressure without the use of a DDC CAV/VAV controller/actuator. They are widely used in control supply or exhaust air system.

It’s easy and flexible for installation, commissioning and are reliable. These terminals save commissioning time on site. They are applied in hospital, cleaning room, laboratory, high level residential building and office building or refurbishment projects.

Barcol-Air CAV terminals incorporate the following features:

  • Pressure-independent 50~1000 Pa.
  • Self-powered – no external power source.
  • Automatic balance of air to ensure that the air volume of each room meets the design requirements.
  • Automatically compensates for the change of the inlet resistance without affecting the air volume.
  • Operating temperature range – 15 Deg C to + 100 Deg C.
  • Control accuracy within ±10%.
  • Compact design, save installation space.
  • Can be installed with any orientation.
  • Each unit is factory calibrated for accurate design air flow.
  • The factory setpoint is indicated on the terminal unit.
  • Provision for on-site adjustment of air flow setting
  • Casing is made of galvanized with option for stainless steel. Optional finish with powder painting is available upon request.
  • Damper blades is of aluminium with SS shaft & self-lubricating nylon bearings
  • Optional customised anticorrosion coatings & 25 mm insulation.
  • Internal all-metal structure, meet the requirements of hygiene and long service life.

Round Connection CAV Units NR (Single wall) Series

  • Round Inlet / Outlet connection.
  • Volume Capacity : 50 to 3,600 m3/h.
  • Size : ∮80, 100, 125, 140, 160, 200, 250, 315, 400 mm.
  • Casing Leakage Class C according to Standard EN 1751 except diameters 80, 100 and 125 mm are Class B.
  • Sleeve connection with rubber gasket.

Rectangular and Large Air Volume CAV units – NM (Single wall) / NN (Double wall) Series

  • Rectangular Inlet / Outlet connection.
  • Volume Capacity– 250 to 23,000 m3/h.
  • Size- W x H: 100 x 200 to 600 x 1200 mm.
  • Casing leakage is class C according to standard EN1751 except models NM/NN 200 x 100 mm which are class B.
  • 30 mm duct flange connection.
